THE COINS

phil and randy were in oregon visiting a buddy at college and took a stop at a sportscard show that was going on in portland. unfortunately, randy wasn't able to come up with anything for his legendary dominique wilkins collection. but there were greater treasures to behold! phil and randy chanced across a four for a dollar box full of true gems -- "coins" from the rbi era. loading up as many different players as we could, we disbersed the coins to league members near the end of season 1. one fateful night before the disbursement, randy kept the glenn "big baby" davis coin in his pocket and swears to this day that it what caused him to a hit a late and crucial homer with gdavis in the late innings of a season game against jared.
